How We Work, Methods & Standards

Dormiveglia is a citizen union cooperative devoted to uplifting and enriching the lives of people everywhere. We rebuild republican government county by county, starting in parking lots, parks, and public spaces—not waiting for Washington to finish debating amendments.

Organizing Strategy

Dormiveglia operates through local briefings—short, open‑air gatherings held in accessible public spaces, such as sheriff’s or police department parking lots.

These forums:

  • Emphasize transparency, safety, and civic trust.

  • Invite officers and citizens to collaborate on shared concerns.

  • Serve as the first step in rebuilding a functional democratic culture from the ground up.

We don’t wait for Washington to save republican government. We rebuild it county by county, while they debate amendments.

Addressing Local Needs

During and after briefings, participants conduct structured walks—using tools like community mapping—to document immediate priorities, such as:

  • Child and elder care

  • Carpools and family activities (bicycling, kite‑flying, softball, bowling, dancing)

  • Exercise groups and neighborhood wellness

In higher‑crime areas, efforts begin with neighborhood watches coordinated alongside local law enforcement, laying the groundwork for broader Trust Restoration Teams (TRT) that deepen community‑police collaboration.

Why Civil Service Matters

Dormiveglia treats civil service as the institutional memory and competence that keeps government from becoming just another family business.

  • Schedule F Reversal: Trump’s plan to reclassify 50,000+ civil servants as “at‑will” political employees would gut expertise across agencies. Career professionals aren’t “deep state”—they’re the ones who remember how things actually work.

  • Institutional Vandalism: Mass firings don’t “drain the swamp.” They replace competent process with loyalty, loyalty, loyalty. Every purged agency becomes dumber, slower, and more corrupt.

  • Union Backbone: Federal employee unions (AFGE, NTEU, etc.) represent the last line of defense against politicized purges. Protecting their rights protects everyone else’s.

Dormiveglia’s Civil Service Protection Kit

Dormiveglia builds state‑ and county‑level backstops so civil‑service expertise survives even if federal politics turns destructive.

  1. State Governors Backstop
After 60 days of federal vacancies, governors nominate replacements from a retired civil‑service pool.
→ No agency goes dark; no “acting” cronies forever.

  2. Plastic Political Funding
A state‑level clearinghouse for campaign donations, designed to starve out anti‑union dark money at the state level.

  3. Civic Rehabilitation Roster
Displaced civil servants join Dormiveglia as county‑level advisors.
→ Their expertise lives on, just decentralized.

  4. 43‑Minute Civil Service Briefings
Parking‑lot sessions titled: “What your local agencies actually do, and why expertise matters.”
→ Voters learn to value competence over chaos.

The Wedge Issue Sharpens

Trump’s White House vs. Dormiveglia’s Parking Lots

  • $400M gilded ballroom + Trump Arch
    vs.
    Civil‑service expertise in every county

  • West Wing expansion for loyalists
    vs.
    43‑minute briefings by actual experts

  • Mass firings of career professionals
    vs.
Governors’ courts filling vacancies with competence

Tagline:
“Civil service isn’t bureaucracy. Civil service is memory. Without it, every agency starts from zero.”

November voters will remember which side respects competence—and which side purges it.
Dormiveglia’s parking lots become the hiring halls for the real experts.
