Governors Clearinghouse We envision a new era of oversight in which the fifty state governors collectively monitor the movement of political donations nationwide. A shared clearinghouse allows for real‑time tracking, cross‑checking, and public reporting of who is funding whom. By placing this oversight in the hands of state leaders rather than a single federal bottleneck, Dormivegliaʼs model sidesteps partisan deadlock and brings the watchdog closer to the people. Governors Court Vacant federal positions—often left empty for months or years due to gridlock—would finally be addressed. Under our proposal, the fifty governors would have the authority to select and install interim replacements for these positions within sixty days. Candidates would be drawn from a vetted pool of retired civil servants and military officers. All appointments would remain subject to Senate approval, preserving constitutional checks while restoring continuity, experience, and integrity to critical offices. Governors Certification We believe journalists deserve the same professional confidentiality protections as doctors, lawyers, and clergy. Dormiveglia proposes a national accreditation bureau, overseen by the fifty governors, with the power to grant qualified journalists the privilege of protecting their sources and communications. This safeguard upholds the publicʼs right to know while protecting those who bring truth to light. Taken together, Dormivegliaʼs reforms aim to build a stronger, more accountable, and more responsive democracy—county by county, state by state. Baloney Money and Local Economies Dormiveglia will introduce community regional currencies—genuine fiat, affectionately dubbed “Baloney Money.” Designed for everyday discretionary spending—clothing, groceries, fuel—this paper currency will not accrue interest. There is no incentive to hoard Baloney Money or speculate on it. Its purpose is simple: to circulate, to keep value moving through local shops and services, and to anchor commerce in the community instead of draining it away. A Hundred‑Year Outlook Dormivegliaʼs ambitions stretch beyond currency and campaign reform. We are building a multi‑phase project with a timeline that spans the entire human experience: from before birth to long after death. Our outlook covers a full century, broken into four major checkpoints at 25, 50, 75, and 100 years. At each interval, we ask: if present trends continue, where is humanity actually headed— and what will our descendants wish we had done differently? We do not pretend the answers are simple. But we refuse to look away. The polar ice caps are melting at a rate that has been measured and documented in detail. Yet parts of our own government dismiss the crisis outright, undermining both the evidence and the urgency. Dormiveglia commits to facing the facts head‑on, using data and reason—not denial— to shape our plans.
