To rebuild civic competence, fairness, and
functional governance—county by county, state by state—by mobilizing
displaced civil servants and concerned citizens to restore institutional
integrity and public trust.
Constituency:
Dormiveglia welcomes the many dedicated civil
servants and professionals displaced during the administrative purges of
the “Email Blizzard” era. Their expertise belongs not in exile, but in
active service to the American public.
Guiding Principles:
Education as the Foundation:
Revive K–12
education as a civic and intellectual cornerstone, emphasizing literacy,
media discernment, and practical citizenship.
Media as a Public Good:
Encourage reforms in broadcast regulation to reward accuracy, diversity, and local accountability.
Competence in Governance:
Every vital agency must be staffed to function. A government of empty chairs cannot govern.
Agency Continuity Rule:
When a federal
commission or agency (e.g., the FEC) remains unstaffed for 60 days, the
50 state governors may jointly nominate to the U.S. Senate qualified replacements from a
vetted pool of retired civil servants and military officers.
Clean Campaign Finance:
All political
contributions—whether to candidates or parties—must be made via verified
debit-card transactions. No cash, no checks. Contributions will pass
through a jointly managed clearinghouse overseen by the 50 state governors to
ensure transparency and neutrality.
Voter Receipts:
Every voter receives a paper
receipt confirming their ballot selections. In case of dispute or
recount, citizens can verify by photo or mail to strengthen public
confidence in results.
